Project #2

****this project has been cancelled***
I got the dust cover off it & started removing the legs & staples & the whole underside of this chair is chipboard plywood. I can't fill the holes & when I remove staples the chipboard just makes huge craters ...Just not worth my $$$ & time to re-do it. I will cannibalize the down cushion & maybe the seat springs. Other than that? I'll trash it later this week.

This upholstery/slipcover project #2. I am going to strip this chair & upholter it in a khaki colored twill. I will not put piping on anything as I plan on making a slipcover for it too! The slipcover will have piping.

This is the front view - I already took the cushion off & have all the fabric disassembled & hope to have the cushion done tonight. The back cushion is connected to the back part of the chair. I don't like that & it won't be like that when I am done with it. It is also filled with DOWN. I told Prince Charming I didn't know what I'd find under there ... He said FEATHERS. Thanks babe. I meant like if they are in some sort of pillow case or what...We shall see. It is a pretty large chair I sits really comfortably. I got it from a yard sale in Brentwood. I don't know if the legs were wiggly when I bought it or if I did that moving by myself.

Side view. It's up on a whole peice of plywood on sawhorses. The folding table I worked on the last time is too small & too low. This one might be too tall. Again. We shall see.

That's Prince Charming's HUGE tool box behind the chair. And clamps...do you see the clamps on the left of the photo? Lemme tell you, those jobbies come in super handy!
I am taking this one slower. Obviously because I am doing it TWICE. I have a couch in storage that I got for free. It's white. But when I get done with it??? The slipcover will match the slip I do on THIS chair. Bet you can't guess what color the slipcovers are going to be???? It's a color WAY out of my box.

TURQUOISE

Yep! Got it 50% off from Joann's.

Stay tuned
Sam
