Getting There

Well, 2 weeks ago I pinned & traced & cut muslin to fit my Good-For-Will chair. And that is as far as I have got! I have bought a commercial grade Consew sewing machine. Off craigslist. I am very happy about this purchase. Let me tell you though, my daughter has named it Big Bertha. No joke, this thing is a monster. And sews lightining fast. I definately have a learning curve to conquer with it!!

Last weekend I painted our dining room, and THIS weekend I am likely painting the master bedroom & the master bathroom. No, I don't like painting. It just needs to be done. I have been lurking on multiple blogs & websites of folks that are doing slipcovers and I am SO EXCITED to get started. Honestly? I have been surfing craigslist looking for furniture that can be slipcovered. What am I going to do with it when it gets done? Gosh, I just don't know. Maybe I can do something really nice in my formal living room? It's so dark in there. I WANT too. Don't know if Prince Charming is up for a change in there, as that furniture is only 3 years old. No I can't slipcover THAT furniture because #1 is Ashley furniture, which means the back seat cushions are sewn to the back of the couch #2 it's only 3 years old....#3 I don't know why not.

I'll post more as I get farther!
